** Genetic Engineering **

It is wrong to genetically engineer your child.  Parenthood; or the experience of parenthood is based on raised your child and how they adapt to situations that they are out in.  When genetically engineering the child you want, you would lose the emotional`attachment that a parent and child tend to have.  Along with the emotional attachment that a child and parent have, the parent might modify the child so that the child will look how the want it to look which would lose the physical attribute that a parent and child may share.

If I were to choose characteristics of my child I would choose: humor, kindness, friendliness, athletic and intelligent.  I would choose humor because with humor any person can create friends and brighten up every persons day.  Friendliness, caring and kindness all play essentially the same role.  These three tie together because when showing kindness towards someone you become friendly and are caring.  I chose athletic because I would like to be able to do activities such as soccer with my child.  Intellect is also big because I want my child to succeed in life.
